PWE’s preferred sustainability pathway is a managed HDR geothermal resource where geology and economics are proven—supported by Solar PV, wind and hybrid electrical systems where they strengthen the site energy balance.

PRIMARY PATHWAY · HDR GEOTHERMAL

Hot Dry Rock—now commonly developed as an Enhanced Geothermal System—can create a controlled subsurface heat-exchange pathway where naturally flowing geothermal reservoirs are unavailable. With appropriate reservoir characterization, reinjection and thermal management, it can provide long-duration heat without depending on sunshine or wind.

1 · GEOTHERMAL LOOPHot geothermal fluid rises through the production well, releases heat in the surface exchanger and returns cooler through the injection well.
2 · THERMAL ISOLATIONEnergy crosses the surface heat exchanger, but the geothermal fluid and HOSS heat-transfer fluid do not mix.
3 · HOSS INDIRECT HEATINGThe separate transfer fluid circulates outside the carbon-steel U-tubes. Process water remains inside the tubes, receives heat through the tube wall and never contacts the transfer fluid.

PWE planning framework: energy-supply hardware and installation may represent more than 70% of combined installed project CAPEX in selected concepts. The percentage and resulting USD/m³ are application-specific and will be published only after resource, duty, availability, CAPEX and O&M assumptions are validated.

Opportunity, not a resource claim: temperature, depth, rock stress, permeability, water chemistry, drilling economics and induced-seismicity controls must be confirmed for each location. Concept diagram based on established EGS/HDR principles described by the IEA and geothermal/desalination applications reviewed by IRENA.
